€13,500 Raised For Vulnerable People In Ireland & The Middle East

In November 2020 SCOOP hosted the Better Than Socks Online Christmas Auction, raising €13,500! Teaming up with over 60 Irish companies, artisans, sporting heroes and sounders, the live online auction featured unique and alternative experiences and gifts, from artworks, craftworks, services, to the gifts that money can’t buy!

SCOOP received an overwhelming amount of support, featuring gifts and experiences from Conor Spacey, Rascals Brewing, Still Garden Distillery, Fingal Ferguson, Liadain Aiken Knitwear, Louis Copeland & Sons, Shevlin Millinery, Electronic Sheep, Ballymaloe Cookery School, Helen Steele, Orla Walsh, Mother Reusables, Duda, Unique Ascent and many, many more! 

With the presence of Covid-19 on our doorstep, it was more important than ever to support local and to shop local. Funds raised from this auction enabled us to continue our IT Programme for displaced young people living in Iraq, allowed us to provide PPE to the people and services who needed it most in Ireland during the pandemic, and also helped us to kick start the delivery of SCOOP Ed to Direct Provision Centres, in 2021. 

A massive shoutout to our board, our production team, Studio 10, our lucky bidders and most of all the artists, athletes, designers, professionals, sounders, foodies & hospitality peeps who donated an experience to the cause. The generosity shown in these uncertain times filled our hearts and we cannot thank you enough!
