Iraq
We support Joint Help for Kurdistan who work with over 11,000 displaced Yazidis in the Bajed Kandala camp.

SCOOP have been working in Iraqi Kurdistan since 2016. Calvin first met Dr Nemam Ghafouri, founder of Joint Help For Kurdistan in Kobane, Syria in July 2016 when JHK and The Kurdish Red Crescent, Calvin’s employer at the time coordinated an aid run into the besieged city of Manbij.
Inspired by her ethic and determination Calvin visited her clinic in Bajed Kandala Camp in early 2017. JHK had established a medical and social facility in Bajed Kandala IDP Camp, one of over 20 camps in the region.
Inspired by the team and the work carried out by JHK for the 11,000 Yazidis that reside there, SCOOP partnered up with JHK and have since developed the Psychosocial progamme, the Art programme and SCOOPiT.
